CHANGES TO THE 2021 PROGRAMME
The Amici Trust has been monitoring the ongoing developments surrounding the recent outbreak of Covid-19 within the community.
We understand that many people will be feeling anxious around the unknown and not being able to plan for future certainties. We also know many of our friends will be dealing with additional hardships around mental health, economic changes, and educational pressures.
While we know that participating in the Junior Theatre Festival (and the Arts in general) is something that all our attendees and volunteers will be looking forward to, we must consider all scenarios that may occur during the next few months, along with the continuing government restrictions on movement around the country and restricted group numbers.
After a great deal of discussion, The Amici Trust Board have made the following decisions in relation to the 2021 Festival:
The Festival component has been cancelled. iTICKET will be in touch regarding refunds for any paid registrations shortly.
The Pilot Programme has been postponed to early 2022. New dates will be announced soon, please watch this space.
This decision has not been taken lightly, however the health and safety of all our supporters, volunteers and attendees is at the forefront of this decision.
We are aware of many groups and schools that will have to postpone and/or cancel their planned productions this year and we did not want to add any pressure in addition to those already suffering in this current environment.
